New Year’s Eve Bash! BRINGING IN 2025 WITH A BANG! Grab your warmest coat, and join us Tuesday at 7PM for food (s’mores & cookies), hot cocoa, fun, music and a short devotional. Rain or shine! Then a big fireworks display, weather pending!!
Updated Directory Coming in January Need to update your contact info? Please write it on your connect card, email us, or call the office by Tuesday, December 31st. The Info Desk has the current address book if you’d like to see what info we have on file. Want to include your cell phone number and email address in the directory? Snow Many Good Books! Slide into our Library and wrap yourself up in a good book. There’s a flurry of great titles for all ages! And no cold-shoulder for late returns. The Library is open between services on Sunday and Wednesday evenings.
Sensory-Friendly Worship Area! “A shush-free, judgment-free zone where ALL can safely learn about God!” Our chapel has been fitted with wiggle seats, fidget toys, dimmable lights, noise-canceling headphones, a calming special-effect light and more! We welcome all who have unique needs to enjoy this area during our services!
A Special Business Meeting will be held Sunday, January 12 @ 9:10AM. This will be a brief meeting to vote in new members per the deacons’ recommendation. Join us immediately following the 8am service in the sanctuary.
Vintage Knolls Visit Our next visit will be Saturday, January 4th at 2pm. Anyone is welcome to come play bingo with the residents and help with crafts. Contact Jen Van Horn if you are interested in going. Let’s be the hands and feet of Jesus to our community.
Prayer Walk COMING IN JANUARY Thursday, Jan. 9, 12-8pm; Friday, Jan. 10, 9am-5pm; Saturday, Jan. 11, 8am-12pm – Couldn’t make our prayer walk on Thursday last time? We are trying something new this year and opening up the prayer walk for several days. Join us as we start the new year in prayer for our church.
Christmas Offering This special offering will be going to finish the building project started by our missions team. It is a building next to one of the churches that will have a kitchen and dining room to meet the needs of the community as well as opportunities to share the gospel. Special Christmas envelopes are available in pews and near offering boxes. Please note “Honduras” on donations.
Ladies’ Bible Study is beginning Tuesdays at 9AM beginning January 14. “Behold and Believe” by Marian Jordan Ellis – Who is Jesus? How one answers this question proves the most important thing about them. In Behold and Believe, a verse-by-verse Bible study of the Gospel of John, women will behold the glory of God revealed in Jesus Christ and experience His life-transforming power as they come to believe that He is the great I AM! Workbooks are available for pickup (suggested donation of $20). Sign up today in the main lobby! Nursery & Kids’ Jumpstart program available.
GAME NIGHTS ARE BACK! Friday, January 17th @ 6pm in the gym. Bring your favorite games and a snack to share. Let’s beat the winter blues by gathering together to play games and fellowship!
The Barnabas Basket happening January 5 is our monthly food collection. All donations are given to the Danville Food Bank. The basket is located in the main foyer. January’s Need: CANNED FRUIT. They’re looking for volunteers to help distribute food the 2nd Sat. of every month.
