Yaddah Pearls are starting a new Bible Study tomorrow, February 22 at 9 AM in the Church Library. All women are invited to join them as they prepare for Easter with the study “The Easter Experience”.

All services begin at 1:30 PM; Men & Women are invited; Child care is provided; Any cancellations due to inclement weather will be announced over WPGM radio station; Feb. 24 ~ Iron Mill Church (Formerly Community Alliance); March 2 ~ First Baptist Church; March 9 ~ Shiloh United Church of Christ; March 16 ~ St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.   A period of refreshments and fellowship will follow each program.  A Special Business Meeting has been called by the Deacons for Sunday, February 21 immediately after the 10:30AM Worship Service. The Purpose of the meeting is to discuss and potentially change the Sunday Morning Worship Schedule. Awana Derby cars are due this Wednesday, Feb. 17, with the Grand Prix being held on February 24th. Please stop by the table in the foyer if you need to weigh your car — today is the last day to weigh cars.
 
Ladies ~ Make sure you save this date ~ Saturday, May 14th. All ladies are invited to our “Springtime in Paris” tea on that day. There will be more information coming at a later date.

ANNUAL MEETING WEDNESDAY ~ JANUARY 27, 2016 ~ 6:30 PM ~ SANCTUARY

Once a year the church body meets to review the year we have just completed and look ahead to the New Year. We vote on budgets and members for the boards and committees. At this meeting we will be presenting a report on preliminary findings of possible facility renovation and expansion. We will also present a plan for addressing the Sunday morning schedule question.   Members are urged to attend. All others are invited and welcome, but may not vote.

The Budgets , including the General, Missions, & Building Fund, are posted on the bulletin board for your review. The Annual Report is available for you to pick up today.  Child care will be available for all ages. So that plans may be made, please sign up today at the Information Desk or call the Office by January 20. Nursery Care will be for Infants – 3 year olds, with supervised play for all others ages.

Exploring FBC begins today. Please join this class, taught by Pastor Dawes, if you are interested in finding out more about our church, baptism, and/or membership. The class will meet at 9:00 AM for three Sundays in the Conference Room.

We welcome Gina Conklin, Community Relations Director, of Expectations Women’s Center in Lewisburg. Please stop by the table in the foyer to meet Gina and to get more information about the work of Expectations in our community. The insert this morning gives information about the three Pregnancy Centers in our area that we help support.
 
Start the year off rightjoin a Sunday School class! SBS brochures are available at the information Desk in the sanctuary foyer or outside the Sunday Bible School Office. Classes are available for ALL ages.

Today is Barnabas Sunday .  If you would like to help out our area Food Bank, please bring Macaroni & Cheese dinners and place them in the basket in the foyer.  Checks may be made out to Danville Area Food Bank.
 

This Wednesday, January 6 everyone is invited to attend a special Awana Evening with guest missionary Gary Goodrow.  A meal will be served at 4:45-5:45 with the program to follow. The meal this week is Colorful Chicken Pot Pie, Candied Carrots, Colorful Jello & Captivating Desserts. Please sign up by Jan. 3 in SBS, on the ramp bulletin board or by calling the office. Suggested donation is $3 per person/$10 per family. If you would like to take a meal to a shut-in there is no charge. Desserts are provided on a volunteer basis – bring one to share anytime! Even though there are not regularly scheduled ministries this week, there are important ministries happening.Please be praying for these opportunities:
 
  Pray for our Haiti Mission Team that will leave at 1:00 AM on December 28 and return late January 5th.
Please use the enclosed prayer     card to remind you to pray often for the ministry of this team.
 
A Family New Year’s Eve Celebration will be held December 31st.
A meal catered by Fu Star will start the evening off at 6 PM. The movie, “The War Room”, will be shown at 7 PM. Dessert, Devotions, and Prayer for the New Year will finish off the evening. Reservations for the catered meal are needed. Please sign up on the ramp bulletin board, in your SBS class, or call the church office. Suggested donation for the meal is $5 per person, or $15 per family.
All those attending are asked to bring desserts to share.
 
Please also pray for the ministry of UPWARD Basketball & Cheerleading that begins with the new year.
Practices are held Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday evenings, with games on Friday evenings (6:00-9:00) and Saturdays (9:00 AM– 3:00 PM). Plan on stopping by sometime this year to encourage the teams, coaches, and our friends from the community.

Attention Choir Members and Bells of Joy Regular Choir Rehearsals  will begin on Sunday, January 10. The choir will sing on January 17th. Bells of Joy will start regular rehearsals on Monday, January 4th.
