Combined Adult Sunday School Jennifer Lake and Emily Shover from Dwell are here TODAY at 9:15am in the gym. They will be sharing about Dwell’s ministry, their outreach to the foster and adoption community, and how we as a church can wrap our arms around these families!!

Baccalaureate is Sunday, May 21st, 7PM at the Danville High School. Pastor Dawes will be speaking at the service. All are welcome to attend! Fellowship Fund Giving Opportunity In following the biblical directive to take care of our widows and orphans, FBC created the fellowship fund. This fund not only blesses those financially hurting in our church family, but also those who desire to invest in their marriages. If you would like to give, please note “Fellowship Fund” in the memo of your check or on your envelope.

 

Active Retired Men in Service Thursdays @ 8:30AM. This great group of guys meets for devotions, prayer time and lots of fellowship! Following their group time, they help out around the church as well. Come on over!

 

Fishnet This group of amazing ladies meets on Thursdays from 9AM-12 noon at the home of Linda Beyer. They process large quantities of eyeglasses and sunglasses to be sent all over the world! If you would like to join them, please call Donna Outt.

 

Church Picnic Sunday, May 21st at 12PM Mountain View Bible Camp, Snydertown – We are looking forward to hanging out together once again! Grilled chicken, chips, & water will be provided. Side dishes and desserts will be welcome. There is also a basketball court and a ball field, so bring your gear. Sign-up today in the lobby or gym!

Ladies Open Door Summer Study Begins Wed., May 31st – Pastor Vance Pitman has read a chapter of Proverbs every day for 30 years. Draw from his wisdom gained from steeping in God’s wisdom. Through this four-session Bible study, you’ll gain an appreciation for this popular and applicable book as well as learn how to develop a daily habit of seeking wisdom from God’s Word. In person and zoom. Study books and sign ups are in the Main Lobby. Suggested book donation is $17. Childcare available upon request.

 

Scholarship Funds Available The Mission Board will be accepting applications for post-high school education from applicants planning to attend post-graduate training at an academic facility with the intent to pursue ministry or missionary work upon graduation. Applications can be picked up outside the Church Office. Deadline to submit your application is May 15th. For more information regarding the scholarship please contact Gary Lewis.
