Happy Mother’s Day! In honor & memory of our mothers here at Danville First Baptist Church, we are making a special contribution to three local pregnancy care centers in our area. Thank you to all of our moms for their loving hearts.

 

FBC Connect – May 12, 19 & 26 at 9:15 AM – If you are new here and would like to know what we are all about or if you have questions on being baptized or becoming a member, then this is your class! This is a 3-part class that begins today and continues May 19 & 26. It will take place in the Conference Room (across from the church office) during the Sunday School hour. Grad Info Needed! We’d like to honor your graduate on Grad Sunday 6/2! Please give the following information to the office by 5/26:

 

Spring Business Meeting will be on Wednesday, May 29 at 6:30pm. Ministry & Board Leaders, please have your reports into the office by May 19.

 

Sweets Needed! FBC provides a table full of goodies at the Danville High School Baccalaureate which is on 5/19 at 7pm. Please bring any goodies to the church kitchen that morning.

 

Muslim World Prayer Guides are available at the Info Desk for adults and kiddos! You’ll not only learn about the Muslim culture but also how to best lift them up in prayer as they celebrate Ramadan 5/6-6/4.

GAiN Mission Packing Day! Sign up today for the June 18th packing project at the GAiN Logistics Center in Lancaster! Join thousands of volunteers preparing tons of humanitarian supplies from 8:00am to 4:00pm. FBC will provide transportation. Registration is a must. Sign up sheets are located on the ramp bulletin board and at the Info Desk. (This is where your M&M Tube donations are going!!)

 

Ladies Open Door Summer Study – Wednesdays at 6:30pm – Starting May 22 – We all want to be women of legacy, but how do we begin? In this 5-session study, examine the character and actions of women in Scripture—Esther, Mary Magdalene, Ruth, Deborah, the woman at the well, and more—to inspire and challenge you to leave a gospel-centered legacy. Books & Sign-ups are available this week in the main lobby. Books are a suggested donation of $18. Please contact Heather Hess if you need childcare. We can’t wait to see you!

 

Soup Cans are Ready for Pick-up! The funds you collect in your soup cans will go toward the cost of eyeglasses that will be distributed during FBC short-term missions trips. The cans will be due back Labor Day weekend, so you have all summer to collect any spare change. Thank you so much! Thanks to all who provided the cans as well!
