ANNOUNCEMENTS

Barnabas Sunday During the first Sunday of every month, FBC collects food items for the Danville Food Bank. The collection basket is in the Foyer Sunday, Feb 3. February’s need is for Soup.

Red Cross Blood Drive will be here Monday, February 11 in the BFLC from 1:00-6:00pm. Stop and see Jack and Brenda who will be serving food in the kitchen to all donors!

LuoPad Team Join us the first Thursday of every month at 9:30am as we continue to assemble LuoPads in the BFLC. This is an ongoing mission through GAiN that provides sanitary undergarments to women all over the world! We’d love to have you join us! If you’d like sewing lessons so you can help out, contact Patty Miller.

Fishnet Ministries processes large quantities of goods that will be sent to the mission field. They meet next on Thursday, February 14 from 9-12 and will be working in Room 9 processing eye glasses. All are welcome!

No Midweek Meal or Ministries February 6

Annual Business Meeting: All are invited to come and hear what God is doing in and through FBC. Please note, only members may vote. There will be no Meal or Ministries Feb. 6.

Call for Adoptive/Foster Parents in Lewisburg! Bethany Christian Services is having a free 8 session series on foster care and foster care adoption classes in Lewisburg starting on Tuesday, February 5th, at 6:00pm! Deaconess Meeting Next Sunday Deaconesses serving for 2019 are encouraged to attend this meeting next Sunday (2/10) in the conference room at 9:15am.

New Location for Moms In Prayer International! This group of prayer warriors meeting on Thursdays at 9:30am will now be meeting at homes and will have childcare! For information, please contact Eveann Kauffman. “We believe God changes lives and whole communities forever when moms gather together to pray”. If you are a mom, aunt, grandmother, guardian, woman of prayer, join them!

A Flurry of Good Reads! Have you blown into our Library recently? No two experiences are the same! You’ll be plowing through all kinds of adventures that will warm your heart! The Library is located across from the toddler nursery and is open 8:45-10:30am on Sundays and 5:45-7:30pm on Wednesdays.

Soup Can Need In this season for soup, the Mission Board is in need of empty, clean, 10.5oz soup cans. Please drop off by the kitchen. Thanks!

Activities for Adults Looking to connect with a fun group of people AND burn calories? Try these out! Adult Open Gym for 25+ years – Mondays 8-10pm. Questions? Contact Leighton Elliott. Danville School Decisions – If Danville Schools are dismissed early or cancelled on a Wednesday, then our Wednesday evening Family Dinner and activities are cancelled as well.

Haiti Mission Team 13 Recap Coming! Sunday, February 17 at 6pm. Join us in the gym to hear what God was up to on their November 10-17, 2018 trip! Any & all desserts appreciated! Please bring them to the kitchen either that morning or that evening.

Awana Derby Workshop – FRIDAY, FEB. 22 – 6-8PM – Parents/Guardians and their kiddos will be working on their derby cars to get them ready for the Awana Grandprix on Saturday, March 2. We are looking for 2 “pros” to help out parents/guardians at each of the following work stations at the workshop:

Wood Cutting – We have 2 pros!
Sanding
Painting
Wheels n Axles
Weigh Station

Want to help? Contact the church office. Any tools/materials you want to bring would be appreciated, but are not necessary.

Gluten Free Communion – Individually wrapped gluten free wafers are now available for pick up on communion Sundays! They will be located on the ushers’ table in the back of the sanctuary. Feel free to pick yours up prior the service starting!

Great Date Night – February 23, 6-8:30PM – Couples, get ready for an evening of music, laughs, dinner, door prizes and, most of all, encouragement! Tickets are $30/couple & can be purchased until Feb. 18 at www.danvillefirstbaptist.org. Invite your friends! Questions? Call 570.275.1511.

Meal Setup – Need 3 people – 4-6pm
Food Facilitation – Need 3 people – 6-7:30pm
Meal Clean-up – Need 3 people – 8-9pm
