NEW LOCATION!! Thrive, the college/young adult Sunday Bible School class is moving into their own classroom beginning today! Room 228 is located in the hallway above the church offices.

 

Baptism Sunday Please join us this Sunday in encouraging those young people as they follow Jesus’ example in baptism and continue their walk with Jesus. “So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.” Galatians 3:26-27

 

Fellowship Fund Giving Opportunity In following the biblical directive to take care of our widows and orphans, FBC created the fellowship fund. This fund not only blesses those financially hurting in our church family, but also those who desire to invest in their marriages.  If you would like to give, please note “Fellowship Fund” in the memo of your check or on your envelope. 

 

Kitchen Call!! Do you enjoy cooking? How about helping in the kitchen?  Or setting up the dining area? Maybe even dishwashing! This well-loved ministry will be back in action soon and needs help! Circle K on your connect card or call the office! 

 

Fishnet This group of amazing ladies meets on Thursdays from 9AM-12 noon at the home of Linda Beyer. They process large quantities of eyeglasses and sunglasses to be sent all over the world! If you would like to join them, please contact Donna Outt. Now till the end of August they will be meeting at the church in Room 7.

 

Active Retired Men in Service Thursdays @ 8:30AM. This great group of guys meets for devotions, prayer time and lots of fellowship! Following their group time, they also help out around the church as well. Come on over!

 

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) is starting a new season in September! MOPS encourages and equips moms of young children to realize their potential as mothers, women and leaders, in relationship with Jesus, and in partnership with FBC. We get together about 3 times a month.  Our new theme is about Saying Yes to this year, in this place, with these people! Hope to see you there. Join us for a fun and informative playdate Wednesday, August 9th at Riverside Park in Danville from 9am -11am. Next to the police station in Riverside. 

 

 

Football Chapel Starting Soon! First Football Chapel is August 25th @ 10am – Games for the Danville High School Football team are upon us, as are football chapels! The students meet at 6:55am on Friday mornings prior to games for prayer and devotions…and breakfast!!

 

Breakfast Sweets Needed Our Sunday morning Coffee Hour team would be grateful for any homemade or store-bought breakfast foods. Please drop off in the kitchen before 9am. Many heartfelt thanks!
