Tim Zimmerman & The King’s Brass Free concert at 7pm on Tuesday, August 22nd This group provides innovative worship for young and old alike through the “best in sacred brass music.” There is even an opportunity for us locals to toot our own horns during the show! Please see Pastor John for the music to practice. A freewill love offering will be taken during the concert.

Special Offering for the Wards Today Jonathan & Melissa Ward serve at the Word of Life Bible Institute in Canada. The school’s mission is to “inspire youth to live God’s truth” as they are trained for the front lines of the mission field. Offering plates are located in the back of the Sanctuary.

Housing for King’s Brass Musicians Needed FBC is looking for homes for 9 musicians after the show. They’ll each need their own bed. If you are interested in this opportunity, please call the church office.

Barnabas Sunday: Next Week! During the first Sunday of every month, FBC collects food items for the Danville Food Bank. The collection basket will be in the Foyer next Sunday. August’s need is Peanut Butter & Saltines.

We are editing the information going into our new pictorial directory and this is the perfect time to get these changes in! An updated address directory will be printed in a few months to include the rest of the updates.

The Socks & Underwear Drive is here! Please bring your donation of new socks and/or underwear for boys and girls, sizes 4-16 to the chapel foyer until Sunday, August 13th. These items will be given by the Good Samaritan ministry to local students in need as they prepare for the new school year.

School Supplies for Haiti: During the month of August, the Haiti Team is collecting school supplies for the children of Haiti. We’ll take these supplies with us and distribute them during our November trip. Please leave your donations of the following suggested items in the barrel outside Springer Chapel.

• Ball Point Pens
• Boxes of Crayons
• Spiral notebooks, large with 70 pages

• Notebooks of graph paper
• Erasers* (not a slip-on pencil eraser)
• Small individual pencil sharpeners
• Toothbrushes
• Small tubes of toothpaste
