Baptism Service – 4:30 PM Sunday~ At FBC – The baptism service which was to take place at the river will now be held at FBC. Join us in encouraging our brothers and sisters in Christ and celebrating with them as they make a public profession of their faith.

Pizza with the Pastors – Following the 10:30am service Sunday. For new attenders—Join the pastors for an informal time together to help us get better acquainted with one another. No RSVP needed—just stop in!

Fishnet Partners! Fishnet Ministry processes large quantities of glasses, school supplies, etc. that will be used on short-term trips by teams from FBC, GAiN and Joni and Friends. This Thursday (8/9), they will be
processing eye glasses in Room 9 from 9am-12pm. All are welcome!

Keep On Jamming! VBS Music CDs are available at the Info Desk! Grab one for you and a friend!

If you had fun at VBS… then join our Awana Team!! There will be a Leader Training session on Wednesday, 8/22 at 6:30pm in the Springer Chapel. Circle “A” if you are interested in joining, returning, or would like more information. We look forward to seeing new and returning leaders there!

Barnabas Sunday During the first Sunday of every month, FBC collects food items for the Danville Food Bank. The collection basket is in the Foyer today. August’s need is Peanut Butter and Saltines.

Summer Business Meeting The summer business meeting and ice cream social has been rescheduled and will now be held on Wednesday,
August 15 at 6:30 PM in the Chapel.

Summer Campground Ministry Join Joe & Terry Davis of the Shamokin Area Christian Laymen as they share the good news each Sunday!

LuoPad Team Join us the first Thursday of every month at 9:30am as we continue to assemble LuoPads in the BFLC. This is an ongoing mission through GAiN that provides sanitary undergarments to women all over the world! We’d love to have you join us! If you’d like sewing lessons so you can help out, contact Patty Miller.

Adult Open Gym Night! Mondays from 8-10pm, adults ages 25+ are welcome to come enjoy a game or two of basketball! The fellowship will boost your spirit and the exercise will boost your health! For any questions, contact Leighton Elliott.

Trim Healthy Mama Are you looking for a healthier eating lifestyle? Maybe you have heard of Trim Healthy Mama and would like to know more or have already started and are completely overwhelmed. You are invited to the first meeting of our THM group August 15 at 6pm. A potluck dinner will be held, sharing THM dishes and recipes, as well as discussion about the program. RSVP to Rachel Renno by Aug 12.

Danville World Hunger Project On Saturday, September 8 from 9-12pm, hundreds of people will join together in the BFLC to pack thousands of meals and seed packs for international relief! You do not want to miss this! Register at www.danvillefirstbaptist.org/gain/.

Treasure Fest 2018 – TODAY in the gym! Treasure Fest takes place today and next Sunday, Aug 12 where everyone has a chance to go through the unwanted items! – – – Everything is FREE! – – – If you haven’t gone through your (FBC) closet/storage area, time is running out!

Stars Go Dim & Zach Williams Free Concert!! • August 9 at the Union County West End Fair! FBC Van Leaves at 6PM Sharp *Sign-up at the Info Desk!* Seating is Limited! Bring a chair! Admission to the fair is $5.

The Socks & Underwear Drive is here!! Please bring your donation of new socks and/or underwear for boys and girls, sizes 4-16 to the kitchen foyer until Sunday, August 12th. These items will be given by the Good Samaritan ministry to local students in need as they prepare for the new school year.

Haiti Soup Can Project Soup cans are available in the main lobby until August 12 to those who would like to collect change. The money collected is used by the FBC Haiti Team to purchase glasses which the Team then distributes while there in November. The Soup Cans will be due back on Sunday, September 16th.

Mothers of Preschoolers – Here at MOPS, we want to provide you with a tribe of supportive women as you navigate the world of
motherhood, faith, and life together. MOPS is for moms with one or more children ages birth to kindergarten. MOPS is part of an
international movement to locally connect moms, no matter their personal or faith background, who share this common bond of raising little ones. Meetings are 9-11am the 2nd Wednesday of each month September through May. For more info go to www.danvillefirstbaptist.org/mops/.
