Barnabas Sunday During the first Sunday of every month, FBC collects food items for the Danville Food Bank. The collection basket is in the Foyer today. January’s need is for Canned Fruit.
Ladies Bible Study Steering Team Meeting will be held at Muffin Man at 9AM on Tuesday (1/8). If you need childcare, please contact Heather Hess.
Annual Reports Needed The Annual Business Meeting on January 30th will be here before you know it! All Ministry, Committee & Board leaders, please turn your reports into the office by January 17th.
Soup Can Need In this season for soup, the Mission Board is in need of empty, clean, 10.5oz soup cans. Please drop off by the kitchen.
Midweek Meal: Wednesday, January 9: Dinner is served 4:45-5:45 PM. This week’s menu is Hot Dogs, Baked Beans, Macaroni Salad & the desserts you bring. Please sign up by Monday, 1/7 on the Ramp Bulletin Board, in your SBS class or by calling the office. Suggested donation for meals is $3/person or $10/family. If you know of a shut-in or elderly person and would be willing to deliver a meal to them, it is free of charge. Please put their name on the sign up sheet and indicate “Shut-In”.
FBC Connect Class: If you are new here and would like to know what we are all about or if you have questions on being baptized or becoming a member, then this is your class! This is a 3-part class and will take place in the Conference Room (across from the church office) during the Sunday School hour. If you have any questions, feel free to call the church office! Happening January 6, 13 & 20.
FBC Music Ministries Choir will begin on Monday evening, January 14th, from 7:15-8:30pm in the sanctuary. If you are interested in joining the choir, come to a rehearsal! Our only requirements are that you love the Lord, attend rehearsals and can match pitch! Bells of Joy handbell choir is a great opportunity for those who can read music to make a joyful noise to the Lord! Our first rehearsal will be on Monday, January 14 at 6-7:15pm in the Bell Room. Praise Team This contemporary group worships during the 10:30am Sunday Service. If you are interested in auditioning, please email Pastor John at pjohn@danvillefirstbaptist.org. He’ll email you songs to rehearse ahead of time, a questionnaire to fill out and setup an audition time with you. Auditions will usually take place Thursday evenings.

Costa Rica Mission Trip – July 28-Aug 4, 2019 – A team is currently being put together to minister to the people of Costa Rica! The focus will be construction and medical. If you are interested, stop by the Info Desk and pick up an Application and Info Letter. Applications are due January 27th!
Baptism Service is coming up during Sunday AM services on January 27th! Let Pastor Paul know if you are interested in being baptized!
Pizza with the Pastors – January 13 @ 12PM – New to FBC? Join the pastors for an informal time together to get better acquainted! Sign up at the Info Desk!
The Forge Men’s Group – The Forge’s mission is to bring men together to support one another in life, faith and personal growth. We do this with Trust, Confidentiality, and Authenticity striving to deepen relationships and make new ones. There will be faith based teaching and small group discussion. Light refreshments will be available.
Ladies Open Door Bible Study – Beginning with Genesis 12, discover how God orchestrates everything for His glory and the good of His people, and see how the God of creation and covenant is the same yesterday, today and forever. This 10 week study is great no matter where you are in your spiritual journey! The workbook is a suggested donation of $14. Childcare is available and can be requested at sign-up. See you there! Begins Tuesday, Jan 15 at 9AM / Wednesday, Jan 16 at 6:00 PM.
Ladies Grief Group – Wednesdays | 6PM | Beginning Jan. 9 – They will begin their new study, Grief-God’s Help in Times of Sorrow by Cathy Gardner Maddams & Jim Reapsome. “When dealing with a painful loss, we often ask ourselves questions such as, What am I going to do with my life? How will I get through each day? What if I never stop crying? The journey of healing is a long one that requires time, patience and loving support. God understands your pain.” The workbook for the study is a suggested donation of $7. Sign up today in the main lobby!
