What is KidCheck? – KidCheck is a secure check-in system for children that helps keep children safe and streamline the check-in process.
Why are we changing from the current nursery sticker process? – The sticker process has served us very well!! However it is very labor intensive for the Children’s Ministry Director (CMD). (Long answer) The CMD must collect child & family information, create sticker labels for each child with this information, print out sheets of the stickers, put them into the proper locations (Jr. Kids, Baby Nursery, Toddler Nursery), collect sign-in sheets, replenished stickers as needed, reprint more as needed, file filled sign-in sheets, scan them at the end of the year onto the server for safe keeping, audit stickers in all locations and pull sheets of children who no longer attend for various reasons, and more.
Is this check-in system for everyone? – While we are asking families with children to create a family profile that includes all of their children (under 18yrs), we plan to roll this out in stages. The Baby & Toddler nurseries will be first. Then we’ll move on to Jr. Kids and Preschool through 6th grade. Youth will be discussed at a later date, but most likely.
How is it more efficient? – No more waiting for your turn to access the organizer to riffle through it looking for your child’s stickers. Then, turning around and waiting for access to the sign in sheet to put the sign in sticker on it! While you’re on your way to church, simply check in your child to multiple programs (Sunday School, nurseries, Jr. Kids) in the App! One check-in for all!! Nurseries will still need a printed name sticker for your little so when you arrive and are near the label printers, click print labels (name label & pick up stub) and you’re good to go!
Will my information/data be safe? KidCheck’s stated policies assure your information is secure as they utilize robust data encryption practices, restrict access to personal data, and only share information with authorized guardians and the facility you check-in at, making your information visible only after you check-in; they also claim to never sell your information and use similar security measures as banks to protect your data.
