Choir Practice begins Sunday! Join Pastor John in the sanctuary at 7pm as they prepare for the Christmas season.
 
Cookies Needed! We’ll be caroling to our shut-ins Sat., 12/17, and we give them each a plate of Christmas cookies! If you would like to donate some yummy cookies, please bring them to the kitchen by Fri. 12/16 and note “shut-ins” on them.
 
New Boxes: You may have noticed small black boxes at the Welcome Desk in the lobby and Welcome Table in the gym. We ask that you would start placing your connect cards in there instead of the offering boxes. Check out the credenza in the main lobby for the International Day Of Prayer Prayer Guides and Sermon Notes from the Rooted Series.
 
Sensory-Friendly Worship Area! “A shush-free, judgment-free zone where ALL can safely learn about God!” Our chapel has been fitted with wiggle seats, fidget toys, dimmable lights, noise-canceling headphones, a calming special-effect light and more! We welcome all who have unique needs to enjoy this area during both services.

Dwell Collection – This month we will be collecting Flashlights and new/like-new Children’s Pajamas for Dwells’ Hope Chest Foster Closet. Battery donations would be helpful as well. Collection bins will be in the main lobby and by the Welcome Desk in the gym. Last day to collect is December 11.
 
Project Christmas Card – Goal: send 500 Christmas cards to prisoners in the Columbia, Montour, Northumberland and NCSTU Prisons.
We had cards specifically made for this project which are available in the lobby and Welcome Table in the gym. Info cards will direct you in how best to fill out the card. Take an Info Card and as many cards as you like and return them to the baskets in main lobby & gym by December 11. Our prison ministry team will deliver them to the prisons.
 
Christmas Tree of Love – Christmas is a time of giving! You will find the Tree of Love in the kitchen foyer by the gym entrance. Each ornament represents a person and a gift request or suggestion. As God leads you, please take an ornament from the tree and return it unwrapped in a Christmas-style gift bag to the church office by December 11th. Please keep the ornament with the gift so we can get it to the right person. If you are giving a gift card, please attach the receipt and/or the activation slip with the gift card.
 
Memorial Poinsettias – Order them in honor or memory of your loved ones The suggested donation is $7.50. If you are interested, please contact the church office at (570) 275-1511 or sign up through our newsletter by December 11th.
 
Christmas Caroling to Shut Ins – December 17 – Join us as we deliver gifts & sing to our sweet shut-ins. To sign up, contact the office (570) 275-1511. More info to come.
 
The Barnabas Basket is a monthly food collection that takes place on the first Sunday of the month (Communion Sunday). All donations are given to the Danville Food Bank. The basket will be located in the main foyer next Sunday. December’s Need: Soup

Worship Night Join us in the chapel tonight at 7pm for a special time of praise and worship!

Thanksgiving Eve Service Our service will be at 7pm this Wednesday. It’s a great time to gather together and give thanks to God for all he’s done throughout the year. Bring your visiting friends and family! All are welcome!

Special Thanksgiving envelopes are available by offering boxes. Donations will go towards Christmas gifts for our FBC supported Missionaries! Please note “Thanksgiving” on donations.

College Student Get-together Join Pastor Luke on Saturday @ 5pm for a time of food and games in the Iron Forge. Come hang out and relax before you head back to classes!

Christmas Choir! We are looking for enough singers to complete all the parts needed (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass) for our Christmas Choir. We would have 2 rehearsals 11/27 & 12/4 from 7-8:30pm & the 3rd on 12/11 from 6-7:30pm. Interested? Circle “C” on your connect card and note which part you’re able to sing. Performance is scheduled for Sunday (12/18).
