New Sunday Bible School Class Opportunity We are thinking of starting a new adult Sunday School class 10/8 to go through Paul David Tripp’s book “Do You Believe?”. Seats & Feets The Good Samaritan is hosting a Socks & Underwear Drive. They are collecting NEW socks & underwear for students in the Danville School District, ages K-12 boys & girls. Place the items in the designated baskets in the Main Lobby and gym areas. Donations are due by Nov. 5. Good Sam. will then distribute among the schools.

VBS MISSION OF THE WEEK: QUEBEC’S CHILDREN! The Missionaries: David and Kristy Kelly have five children and serve at the Sherbrooke campus of Word of Life (Parole de Vie) Bible Institute in French-speaking Quebec. Quebec is known as the “largest unreached 

people group in North America”! They teach Bible classes as well as French to those desiring to serve in the mission field. The Project: Many have grown up not going to church and don’t know who Jesus is. Word of Life organizes summer camps for local children to come to learn about Jesus, hear the gospel message and, of course, have fun. The Numbers: Cost for 1 Child to go to camp: $150.00.  

 

Family Fun Day is Sunday (7/16)!! Following the 10:30 service, everyone is invited to enjoy hotdogs and hamburgers, a slip-n-slide, dunk tank, a Little’s splash area, crafts, corn hole, and MORE! No cost!  Volleyball & kickball games start at 12 & 12:15pm.

 

Our Next Worship Night will be held at the Montour Delong Vesper Service next Sunday evening at 7pm. We hope you will join us in supporting and reaching out to our community at this event.  The fairground address is 5848 Broadway Rd, Danville, PA 17821.

 

Red Cross Blood Drive will be here Monday, July 31st, in the BFLC (gym) from 12:30-5:30pm. The Red Cross is in need of blood and is taking every precaution to keep everyone safe during their collections.  Register at www.redcross.org

 

Baptism Sunday Coming! Our next baptism will be Sunday August 6th. If you would like to take the plunge in following Jesus’ example, contact the office before July 30th.   

 

Fishnet This group of amazing ladies meets on Thursdays from 9AM-12 noon at the home of Linda Beyer. They process large quantities of eyeglasses and sunglasses to be sent all over the world! If you would like to join them, please contact Donna Outt. 

 

Active Retired Men in Service Thursdays @ 8:30AM. This great group of guys meets for devotions, prayer time and lots of fellowship! Following their group time, they also help out around the church as well. Come on over!

 

Sensory-Friendly Worship Area! “A shush-free, judgment-free zone where ALL can safely learn about God!” Our chapel has been fitted with wiggle seats, fidget toys, dimmable lights, noise-canceling headphones, a calming special-effect light and more! We welcome all who have unique needs to enjoy this area during both of our Sunday services!

NO JR Kids Church NEXT WEEK We will all be in the sanctuary for the VBS Closing Ceremony happening during the 10:30am service.

In order to include as many families as possible, we would LOVE for you to submit your favorite family portrait or individual selfie. Here are the guidelines..

It would be great if we could have all our attenders in there, whether you have been coming here 6 months or 60+ years. Send photos to email@danvillefirstbaptist.org or text them to Rachel by Sept 24th.  Along with your photo, please send any updated information you would like included in the directory. Need help?  Call the office at (570) 275-1511 and we will set up a time for you to come in and have your picture taken.
