Greeter Ministry is BACK!! Volunteers are needed to welcome everyone that God brings through our doors. Ministry time slots are 7:45-8:15am, 9-9:30am, and 10:10-10:40am. For more information, contact Linda Davies.

VBS Begins Monday!! Please continue praying over this outreach opportunity! Volunteers, please meet Monday at 5PM in the sanctuary.

VBS Treats Needed! We would greatly appreciate grab-n-go friendly, sweet, or savory snack donations this week for our volunteers! Homemade or store-bought donations can be dropped off in the kitchen.

VBS MISSION PROJECT The Missionary: Francklin (shown with his wife Nerlie) was appointed as a missionary with Missions Door in 2006 to serve as the youth and children’s ministries coordinator. He works with the pastors of churches that are associated with Missions Door in Haiti, helping those churches develop children’s and youth ministries.
The Project: For many children in Haiti, the cost of education often hinders them from attending school and receiving an education. Your support to the Haiti Children’s School Scholarships project is an opportunity to provide a child with the gift of continued education. All gifts given to this project go directly towards paying for school fees.
The Numbers: Cost for 1 Child to attend school for 1 year is $355.00. This amount includes: Entry fee of $12, Monthly cost of $20 (x9 months = $180), School supplies worth $50 (includes uniforms!).

No cost! We’ll also have softball for Sr. highers and older!! Sign up for a team in the main foyer or call the office to
register your team of 10 by 7/16. Bring own equipment. (Disclaimer: Outdoor events are weather pending)

Cupcake Donations Needed! We are planning to have cupcakes for dessert and are in need of cupcakes of all flavors (2 dozen each). Interested? Give the office a call.

Audio/Visual Techs Needed! Full coaching and training provided! Sound Tech: Love music? Have an ear to hear the different instruments in a song? We will equip you to mix and run our sound boards for our radio and sanctuary sound ministry. Projector Tech: If you love worship music and can navigate a computer, we could use a talented computer tech to run our lyrics for worship services. Video Tech: If you have an eye for live broadcasting and enjoy multitasking, you will be controlling multiple cameras via one master computer. Interested? Email

We plan to help with small or simple projects, likeyardwork, painting, etc. But we won’t just show up to a random house, so we need to know if you or someone you know has some service opportunities for us! Baptism During 8am Service! Please join us in encouraging Patience Courtney as she takes the plunge in following
Jesus’ example.“So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.” Galatians 3: 26-27

In Honor of Our Fathers FBC is giving a monetary gift to our prison ministry. This ministry brings the good news of the gospel to prisoners in 3 local facilities. They have seen inmates come to know Christ as their Savior and have performed baptisms as well.

The Prison Ministry teams meet at the North Central Secure Treatment Unit here in Danville each week! If you are interested in the men’s prison ministry contact Jim Cunfer and for women’s, contact Dawn Carr.

Men’s Open gym Senior High guys and older meet for a game of basketball or two, Mondays from 7-9pm. Questions? Contact group point-person, Tony Zaklama.

Unto Warehouse Packing Day! Monday, June 20th. We’ll be headed again to the Unto Warehouse, 1506 Quarry Rd, Mt Joy, PA 17552 to pack a variety of items. Packing times are 8:30am-4pm. Close-toed shoes are required at the warehouse and masks are optional. Bring a bag lunch! Children are welcome to serve with their parents! Need a ride? Van leaves FBC at 7am sharp. Questions? VBS Kiddos Registration is now open! Ages 3 to 6th grade | July 11-15 | 6-8:30pm – NEW this year!! We are now welcoming littles as young as 3 years old (must be potty trained) to our Preschool program! Our preschoolers have their very own VBS experience that is tailored to their needs and abilities and we are excited to expand the age group!

VBS Team Training Sessions – June 14 & 23 | 6:30PM – All volunteers are strongly encouraged to attend one of these training sessions. We’ll cover VBS safety, what they’ll be learning during that week and more! BONUS: Attendees will get first pick at VBS T-Shirts! (Suggested donation of $10). Make sure you are up-to-date with your clearances at danvillefirstbaptist.org/safe-church. The annual Safe Church Class (Unit 7) can be
completed online by watching 3 videos and filling out a form.

Special Memorial Opportunity Tomorrow, we have a special collection opportunity that will benefit the Montour County Veterans Assistance Fund. This fund assists local veterans in our area who have fallen on hard times.

This fund not only blesses those financially hurting in our church family, but also those who desire to invest in their marriages . VBS Kiddos Registration Begins Wednesday! Ages 3 to 6th grade | July 11-15 | 6-8:30pm NEW this year!! We are now welcoming littles as young as 3 years old (must be potty trained) to our Preschool program! Our preschoolers have their very own VBS experience that is tailored to their needs and abilities and we are excited to expand the age group! We’ll be talking about the parsonage and organ, discussing finances and more. Organ Committee Recommendation After many consultations concerning solutions for the water-damaged organ, we (an ad hoc committee including the current organists) believe the best solution was provided by Somerset Media Group for converting our current organ to digital at a cost not exceeding $40,000. The insurance money will cover just over $26,000 of this, and some church members have also offered to contribute to the conversion/repair. We would like to present this to the church at the Spring business meeting for a vote to pursue this solution for the organ.

Special Business Meeting This Sunday after the 10:30 service. We’ll be starting the meeting by voting on the following new member candidates recommended by our Board of Deacons: Phil & Donna Kemberling, Bobby & Melissa Varholak and Aimee Bingaman.
The Children’s Ministry Director Search Committee, along with the Board of Deacons and the Board of Elders are presenting Katie Yarger as the candidate for this position. Please join us for this special meeting to get to know Katie and place your vote. Note: Due to the significance of this position in the life and ministry of this church, all voting members are encouraged to attend. Lunch will be provided and consist of Baked Ziti, Mixed Vegetables & Cake.

Morgan. Life is hard. It is certain that we will face difficulties, and that God will allow them, as He allowed the Israelites to become trapped between Pharaoh’s rushing armies and the uncrossable Red Sea. But just as certain is the fact that the same God who led us in will lead us out. As The Red Sea Rules makes clear, He is in control. Comedy Night @ FBC w inspirational comedian Dan Kulp. FRIDAY, MAY 13 @ 7PM. Dan Kulp is a Comedian, Actor, Author, and Pastor. Dan has a huge heart for those with special needs and has spent his life loving them. Three of his five children are adopted and have special needs (Down syndrome and Autism, Alfi’s syndrome, spina bifida). He also has four siblings with Down syndrome (three were adopted). Dan has twice appeared on Good Morning America and is the author of Confounding the Wise: A Celebration of Life, Love, Laughter, Adoption and the Joy of Children with Special Needs. He shares his humor at banquets, conferences, churches, camps, colleges, special needs organizations, schools and comedy clubs all around the U.S. Dan loves sharing his heart, his experiences, and his life with audiences.
