The bus will be stopping for dinner. The sign up sheet is on the downstairs ramp bulletin board along with Adult & Child waivers. Haiti Soup Can Project Begins Today! The Mission Board will be handing out soup cans in the main lobby to those who would like to collect change over the summer. The money collected is used by the FBC Haiti Team to purchase glasses which the Team then distributes while there. The Soup Cans will be due back on Sunday, September 17th.

DHS Baccalaureate Service is today at 7pm! Located in the Danville Middle School Auditorium. Baccalaureate is a student-planned, voluntary event to celebrate the spiritual aspects of graduation. You are encouraged to attend to support the students! Pastor Dawes will have a part in the service and our church will be providing refreshments. Please bring cookies, brownies, etc. to donate for the refreshment table. You may leave them in the kitchen this morning marked “Baccalaureate” or bring them directly to the service.

Spring Business Meeting Summary

Several actions were taken at our business meeting held May 3rd.

1) Membership for Dawn Carr, Joe & Terry Davis, Pastor Paul & Ruth Fink, Jillian Hancock, Molly Herring, Adam & Stefanie Hower, Jake & Tina Naylor, John & Rebecca VanKirk

2) To go forward with the Deacon and Trustee Board recommendation to enhance our wireless network system because we are frequently exceeding the capabilities of the current system. The upgrade will cost approximately $9,000. It will make our internet system more secure, provide for better internet access for individuals and SBS classes and enable us to simulcast our services via YouTube in the future.

3) To participate in the support of Tim and Amy (Morris) Fanus who are working with BCM International at Camp Sankanac

4) To reaffirm an action taken at a previous business  meeting allowing our Trustee Board to proceed with projects in excess of $5,000 which in their opinion are in the  best interest of the church, short of major renovations or building additions

Barnabas Sunday: Next Week! During the first Sunday of every month, FBC collects food items for the Danville Food Bank. The collection basket will be in the Foyer next Sunday. The need for May is Spaghetti & Sauce.

National Day of Prayer Join us at the steps of the Danville courthouse on Thursday, May 4th at 12pm to pray for our state and local leaders as well as our community and first responders. “I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people – for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness”. 1 Timothy 2:1-2

Ladies Summer Bible Sunday begins Wednesday night, May 31, 6:30-8:00pm. We will be studying “Knowing God by Name” by Mary Kassian. This 6 week study focuses on 35 Hebrew names of God that describe His character, His relationships, and His purpose. As you learn the significance of each ancient word, you’ll be awestruck by the Lord’s magnificence and your heart compelled to worship and praise Him. Each session is stand-alone to accommodate busy schedules. For more information, please stop by the Ladies Bibles Study table in the lobby next Sunday.

VBS Online Registration Begins Tomorrow!  VBS is July 10-14 from 6-8:30pm. Closing Ceremony AND Family Fun Day will wrap up the week on Sunday, July 16! Sign your kiddos up today and receive a CD of this year’s VBS music while supplies last!

GAiN Mission Packing Day! Registration is now open on the FBC website for the June 20th packing project at the GAiN Logistics Center in
Lancaster! Join thousands of volunteers preparing tons of humanitarian supplies from 8:00am to 4:00pm. FBC will provide transportation. Registration is a must. More info to come!

Suggested donation for meals is $3/person or $10/family. If you know of a shut-in or elderly person and would be willing to deliver a meal to them, it is free of charge. Please put their name on the sign up sheet and indicate “Shut-In”. Desserts are on a donation basis, so feel free to share a dessert any time.

Pretzel Sandwiches! The FBC Youth Costa Rica Team invites you to support their trip by signing up for amazing pretzel sandwiches. The sandwiches; ham/cheese or turkey/cheese will be available for you to pick up after church on April 30th. A sign-up sheet is on the Ramp Bulletin Board. Your donation supports the team! Sandwiches are also available for lunch on Friday, April 28th, for your workplace. Contact any team member to order these. Thank you for your support!

Blended and Blessed is for stepfamily couples, single parents, dating couples with kids, and those who care about blended families. Bloomsburg Christian Church will be hosting this free one-day livestream event on Saturday, April 29th from 10am to 5:30pm. Childcare will be provided for children preschool to 5th grade.
