Project Christmas Card Goal: Send 500 Christmas cards to prisoners in the Columbia, Montour, Northumberland and NCSTU Prisons.
We had cards specifically made for this project which are available in the lobby. Info cards will direct you in how best to fill out the card. Take an Info Card and as many cards as you like and return them to the baskets in the main lobby by December 10. Our prison ministry team will deliver them to the prisons.

 

Christmas Tree of Love Christmas is a time of giving! You will find the Tree of Love in the kitchen foyer by the gym entrance. Each ornament represents a person and a gift request or suggestion. As God leads you, please take an ornament from the tree and return it unwrapped in a Christmas-style gift bag to the church office by December 10th. Please keep the ornament with the gift so we can get it to the right person. If you are giving a gift card, please attach the receipt and/or the activation slip with the gift card.

 

Winter Clothing Collection Now’s the time to go through your closets to bless those in Rochester, NY! Missionary, Marvin Robinson will distribute all sizes of jackets, coats, gloves, mittens, scarves, sweaters, hoodies, pants, etc. The collection bin is located in the Main Lobby during November.

Candy Collection & Help for Trunk-or-Treat The Danville Primary School will be hosting their 3rd Annual Trunk-or-Treat event on 10/25 from 5-7pm and FBC will have a trunk present! Here are a few ways you can help:

 

College Ministry Opportunity Here is a way for us as a church to show our college students our love and support. We are collecting items that we will send out late October. You can donate things like snacks, candy and stationery. For a complete list, please see the table by the office or the Welcome Table in the gym! Donation Box is by the kitchen. If you would like your student to receive a package, please submit their information even if nothing has changed!! We will be packing the boxes on Monday the 23rd at 6pm in the gym! Monetary donations would also be greatly appreciated to help cover the cost of shipping. Designate “College Ministry” & place in offering.

 

Montour County Feed A Friend Collection basket will be in the Main Foyer through the month of October! Top Suggestions: Canned items such as vegetables, tuna, cranberry sauce, fruit, soup; Pasta & Sauce; Mac & Cheese, Boxed Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes, etc. No refrigerated or frozen items, please.

 

Young Life is in need of a van! Young Life is a mission devoted to introducing adolescents to Jesus Christ and helping them grow in their faith. Several area churches involved with Young Life are purchasing a van for Brandon Casey (area leader) to use in transporting students to various functions. If you would like to give towards this ministry, please put it in an envelope designating Young Life and place in one of the offering boxes.

This fund not only blesses those financially hurting in our church family, but also those who desire to invest in their marriages. Seats & Feet The Good Samaritan is hosting a Socks & Underwear Drive. They are collecting NEW socks & underwear for students in the Danville School District, ages K-12 boys & girls.  Please place the items in the designated baskets in the Main Lobby and gym areas.  

Donations are due by Nov. 5.  Good Samaritan will then distribute among the schools.

Care & Concern Ministry began in October ‘03 and is a group of some of the biggest hearts around. They make and take meals to those who have had babies, surgery or are going through a tough time. This ministry has lifted the hearts of many as the love of Christ is shared in a practical & much needed way. Let us know if you would like to be on our call list & provide the contact number you’d prefer.
