Baptism Sunday is Coming!! September 25th If you would like to take the plunge in following Jesus’ example, let the office know on by SUNDAY!!!

Next Sunday! Katie Madara with ABWE (an FBC supported missionary) will be joining us during the morning services to share what’s been happening in her life before she heads oversees.

Also Next Sunday! Following the 10:30am service is Pizza with the Pastors. For new attenders—Join the pastors for an informal time together to get better acquainted. Sign-up at the Info Desk, Welcome Table or your Sunday class.

Fishnet This group of amazing ladies meets on Thursdays from 9AM-12 noon at the home of Linda Beyer. They process large quantities of eyeglasses and sunglasses to be sent all over the world! If you would like to join them, please contact Donna Outt.

Sensory-Friendly Worship Area “A shush-free, judgment-free zone where ALL can safely learn about God!” Our chapel has been fitted with wiggle seats, fidget toys, dimmable lights, noise-canceling headphones, a calming special-effect light and more! We welcome all who have unique needs to enjoy this area during both services!

MOPS REGISTRATION OPEN Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) is part of an international movement to connect moms who have one or more children ages birth to kindergarten. Their goal is to provide you with a tribe of supportive women as you navigate the world of motherhood, faith, and life together. We are back in the building! If you or someone you know feels called to serve in the MOPs ministry, we would love some volunteers to pour into our kiddos in the nursery during our meetings the 2nd Wed. of the month, Sept-May, 9-11am, here at FBC. Fellowship Fund Giving Opportunity In following the biblical directive to take care of our widows and orphans, FBC created the fellowship fund. This fund not only blesses those financially hurting in our church family, but also those who desire to invest in their marriages. If you would like to give, please note “Fellowship Fund” in the memo of your check or on your envelope

Happening TODAY! The Barnabas Basket is a monthly food collection that takes place on the first Sunday of the month (Communion Sunday). All donations are given to the Danville Food Bank. The basket will be located in the main lobby. September’s Need is Canned Vegetables.

Family Meal Sign-ups begin next week! Sign up sheets will be available in adult Sunday school classes, on the ramp bulletin board and in the Friday newsletters. Signing up you and/or your family for the Wednesday family meal is a tremendous help to our kitchen team so they know how much food to make. The Kitchen team will continue their ministry to our sweet shut-ins! If you would like to bring a meal to a shut-in, sign them up, note ”shut-in” and the kitchen team will box the meal up for you to pick up.

Football Chapel Starting Soon! First Football Chapel is this Friday @ 10am, special time! Games for the Danville High School Football team are upon us, as are football chapels! The students normally meet at 6:55am on Friday mornings prior to games for prayer and devotions…and breakfast!!

Football Chapel Starting Soon! First Football Chapel is August 26th @ 10am. Games for the Danville High School Football team are upon us, as are football chapels! The students meet at 6am on Friday mornings prior to games for prayer and devotions…and breakfast!! We are looking for help in the kitchen to make breakfast sandwiches for these hungry students. This is the Last Week!!! Our Library welcomes kiddos from Kindergarten to 6th grade to take part in the Summer Scripture Reading Challenge! Stop in at our Library and pick up your challenge card and earn a prize once you have completed your mission! A parent/guardian signature is required on your completed card for prize eligibility. Cards are due by NEXT SUNDAY!

Montour-Delong Vesper Service Tomorrow Night @ 7pm. Worship by FBC Praise Team, Candlelight by 4-H, Free Will Offering – (Montour Co. K-9 Unit & EOS Therapeutic Riding Center). Join us at the fair’s pavilion – 5848 Broadway Road, Danville.

Fellowship Fund Giving Opportunity In following the biblical directive to take care of our widows and orphans, FBC created the fellowship fund. This fund not only blesses those financially hurting in our church family, but also those who desire to invest in their marriages . If you would like to give, please note “Fellowship Fund” in the memo of your check or on your envelope.

Mark Your Calendars! The Montour DeLong Fair Vesper Service is coming up on Sunday evening, August 7th at 7pm. Join our FBC Praise Team as they kick off the week at the Washingtonville Fairgrounds.

First aid kits can be found in the coat room behind sanctuary and in the cabinet outside the gym.

MISSION OF THE WEEK: HAITI’S SCHOOL CHILDREN! The Missionary: Francklin (shown with his wife Nerlie) was appointed as a missionary with Missions Door in 2006 to serve as the youth and children’s ministries coordinator. The Project: For many children in Haiti, the cost of education often hinders them from attending school and receiving an education. Your support to the Haiti Children’s School Scholarships project is an opportunity to provide a child with the gift of an education. All gifts given to this project go directly towards paying for school fees. The Numbers: Cost for 1 Child to attend school for 1 year: $ 355.00.
