Choir practices are on Monday evenings, from 7:15-8:30pm in the sanctuary. If you are interested in joining the choir, come to a rehearsal or contact the church office! Our only requirements are that you love the Lord, attend rehearsals and can match pitch!
Bells of Joy handbell choir meets on Mondays as well from 6-7:15pm in the Bell Room. Now is a great time to check it out, you just need to be able to read music. Want more info? Contact the church office.
Praise Team This contemporary group worships during the 10:30am Sunday Service. If you are interested in auditioning, please email Pastor John at pjohn@danvillefirstbaptist.org. He’ll email you songs to rehearse ahead of time, a questionnaire to fill out and setup an audition time with you. Auditions will usually take place Thursday evenings.

 

The Forge Men’s Ministry – Tuesdays @ 7PM – The Forge’s mission is to bring men together to support one another in life, faith and personal growth. We do this with Trust, Confidentiality, and Authenticity striving to deepen relationships and make new ones. There will be faith based teaching, small group discussion & light refreshments.

Special Business Meeting Recap There was an 84% positive vote (73 yes, 14 no) to make the following changes to the constitution: “The Annual Corporate Business Meeting shall be held no later than the second week of February, unless changed by a vote of the church.” The date for the upcoming Annual Business meeting will be in next week’s bulletin.

FBC Music ministries

Christmas Gifts for Truckers! During the Christmas season, FBC has been partnering with Pastor Howard Long for many years in his ministry to truck drivers at the Buckhorn Chapel! This year’s needs are packs of sugar-free gum and cookies! If you would like to participate please bring your gum and cookies (4 per ziplock baggie) to the collection box in the kitchen this Sunday.

Call for Christmas Cookies! We’ll be caroling to our shut-ins on December 15 and we give each of them a plate of assorted Christmas cookies! If you would like to donate some yummy cookies, please bring them to kitchen Next Sunday and note “shut-ins” on them. Carolers will be in the FBC kitchen at 4pm to begin plating them up.

College Care Packages went out this week to bless 32 college students! Heartfelt thanks for all the donations and to those who packed the boxes as well as to Lynn Wintersteen for coordinating this each semester.

 

Thanksgiving Offering Envelopes are now available in the pews. Donations will be evenly divided to bless Missionaries and their families over Christmas and the Forever Being Changed Ministry Expansion Project.

FBC is Hosting the Jubilee Kitchen – Diane Gelbaugh will be mixing things up in the Jubilee Kitchen on November 23. Monetary donations would be greatly appreciated to cover the cost of the meal. Please make checks out to FBC with “Jubilee Kitchen” in the memo. Any excess donations will go to benefit the Youth Missions fund.

 

Wanted! Winter Clothing & Outerwear – Now’s the time to go through your closets to bless those in Rochester, NY! Missionary, Marv Robinson, will distribute all sizes of jackets, coats, gloves, mittens, scarves, sweaters, hoodies, pants, etc. The collection bin is located by the kitchen until Sunday.

Barnabas Sunday During the first Sunday of every month, FBC collects food items for the Danville Food Bank. The collection basket is in the Foyer
today. November’s need is for Tuna & Canned Meats.

 

LuoPad Team Join us the first Thursday of every month in the gym at 9:30am. Heartfelt thanks for your donations!!! 307 kits were taken on the Costa Rica missions trip to be used for Women’s Ministries. If you’d like sewing lessons so you can help out, contact Patty Miller.
