Snow Many Good Books! Slide into our Library and wrap yourself up in a good book. There’s a flurry of great titles for all ages! And no cold-shoulder for late returns. The Library is open between services on Sunday and Wednesday evenings.

FBC Music Ministries
Choir practices are on Monday evenings, from 7:15-8:30pm in the sanctuary. If you are interested in joining the choir, come to a rehearsal or contact the church office! Our only requirements are that you love the Lord, attend rehearsals and can match pitch!
Bells of Joy handbell choir meets on Mondays as well from 6-7:15pm in the Bell Room. Now is a great time to check it out, you just need to be able to read music. Want more info? Contact the church office.
Praise Team This contemporary group worships during the 10:30am Sunday Service. If you are interested in auditioning, please email Pastor John at pjohn@danvillefirstbaptist.org. He’ll email you songs to rehearse ahead of time, a questionnaire to fill out and setup an audition time with you. Auditions will usually take place Thursday evenings.
 
The Forge Men’s Ministry – Tuesdays @ 7PM – The Forge’s mission is to bring men together to support one another in life, faith and personal growth. We do this with Trust, Confidentiality, and Authenticity striving to deepen relationships and make new ones. There will be faith based teaching, small group discussion & light refreshments.

Special Business Meeting Recap There was an 84% positive vote (73 yes, 14 no) to make the following changes to the constitution: “The Annual Corporate Business Meeting shall be held no later than the second week of February, unless changed by a vote of the church.” The date for the upcoming Annual Business meeting will be in next week’s bulletin.

FBC Music ministries

Barnabas Sunday Next Week During the first Sunday of every month, FBC collects food items for the Danville Food Bank. The collection basket is in the Foyer. January’s need is for Canned Fruit.
 
LuoPad Team Join us the first Thursday of every month in the gym at 9:30am. If you’d like sewing lessons so you can help out, contact Patty Miller. Monetary donations can be made out to FBC with LuoPads in the memo.
 
Fishnet Ministries processes large quantities of goods that will be sent to the mission field. They meet this Thursday from 9-12 and will be working in Room 9 processing eye glasses. All are welcome!

Please keep the ornament with the gift so we can get it to the right person. If you are giving a gift card, please attach the receipt and/or the activation slip with the gift card.

Christmas Gifts for Truckers! During the Christmas season, FBC has been partnering with Pastor Howard Long for many years in his ministry to truck drivers at the Buckhorn Chapel! This year’s needs are packs of sugar-free gum and cookies! If you would like to participate please bring your gum and cookies (4 per ziplock baggie) to the collection box in the kitchen this Sunday.
Call for Christmas Cookies! We’ll be caroling to our shut-ins on December 15 and we give each of them a plate of assorted Christmas cookies! If you would like to donate some yummy cookies, please bring them to kitchen Next Sunday and note “shut-ins” on them. Carolers will be in the FBC kitchen at 4pm to begin plating them up.

  • Thanksgiving Offering Envelopes – Special Thanksgiving envelopes are available in the pews. Donations will be evenly divided between Christmas gifts for our FBC supported Missionaries and their families and the Forever Being Changed Ministry Expansion Project.
  • Thanksgiving Tracts available at the Tract Rack
  • Thanksgiving Eve Service is Wednesday, Nov 27 at 7 PM
  • Special Time of Prayer Join Pastor Dawes at 6pm this Wednesday for a special time of prayer prior to the Thanksgiving Eve Service. This will take place in Pastor Dawes’ office.
  • No Midweek Meal or Ministries Wednesday Night It’s Thanksgiving!!!

As God leads you, please take an ornament from the tree and return it unwrapped in a Christmas-style gift bag to the church office by December 15th. Please keep the ornament with the gift so we can get it to the right person. If you are giving a gift card, please attach the receipt and/or the activation slip with the gift card.
 
Christmas Gifts for Truckers! During the Christmas season, FBC has been partnering with Pastor Howard Long for many years in his ministry to truck drivers at the Buckhorn Chapel! This year’s needs are packs of sugar-free gum and cookies! If you would like to participate please bring your cookies, 4 per ziplock baggie, to the collection box in the kitchen on December 8. Gum packs can be dropped off anytime until December 8 in the collection box in the Kitchen.

Fishnet Ministries processes large quantities of goods that will be sent to the mission field. They meet this Thursday from 9-12 and will be working in Room 9 processing eye glasses. All are welcome!
